Audio Dome
will this aftermarket radio fit in my car?
i have a 1999 grand prix se and i want to get a aftermarket radio(DUAL XDM7510 IN-DASH CAR RADIO) and i want to know if it will fit in my car i have looked through bestbuy.com and i entered in my car info and it said about every 1 in 5 radios that they had would fit...
also i was think of getting spearkers ( Pair Visonik VT1449 2" Car Audio Dome Tweeters NR) and would i be able to install these??
i would like to do this on my own and not go to a shop as most of my friends from school have done there own and had very little problems so would these work??
(on a side note in 2 years im getting a 2003 grand prix gt 4 door and i was wonder if i would be able to transfer them over to that??)
Any single DIN head unit should work (including the DUAL XDM7510) as long as it is not more than 5 3/4" deep. According to Crutchfield, you need 5 1/4" speakers in the front and 6x9's in the back.
That said, you can put separates in if you don't mind doing the cutting yourself, or you can get something like qlogic replacement kick panels for a awesome look and better sound. Qlogic makes replacement panels that are designed to blend in with your car's interior and still sound better than factory offerings. Try the link below for your model. There are 2 offerings, 1 for the 5 1/4" with 2" tweets and the other for 6 1/2" with 2" tweets. Since both of these parts will fit both the '99 and the '03, you will be able to move them into your new car.
