Good digital camera for indoor shots?
I have an ancient Kodak camera that I'd like to replace, and with Boxing Day sales coming up, I'd like to get a new one. I would be using it mainly indoors, taking shots of stuff for Ebay and such, so it needs to work well there, but it has to take good outdoor photos too. I've read so many reviews about what's good and what's not that my head is swimming. I've had good luck with Canon in the past, so I'm leaning more towards them, but I would be open to other brands too if the features are right. I don't want a Sony because of the memory stick. I'm also on a budget, so it has to be under $150-$200. A viewfinder in addition to an LCD screen would be good. Bonus points if it comes in a colour other than black or silver (but not pink) because that's boring. I know I'm asking a lot here, but surely there must be something out there that meets my needs?
It's going to be hard to find a good indoor (no flash) camera in that range. The things that allow cameras to shoot in low light are CCD sensitivity and maximum aperture (f-stop). A big aperture generally means a bigger lens, which means more money. Camera manufacturers usually make the CCDs more sensitive by making them larger, with more space between the pixels. This means more money too.
