Led Infrared Color Can we actually see infrared light?
I saw a video in a website that a human eye could see infrared.A guy fixed a blue sheet over a red sheet and he fixed it to a goggle.Then he fixed 8 IR led(s) in the corners of the goggle.He switched on the led(s) and with the glasses he could see in the dark with full colour(not green like those in night vision goggles). No way that is true. Infrared IS a color, but a color people cannot see. There is no way to shine IR light on things and get true colors back. If you could, other people could see it too. Filters do not change one color to another, they just remove (filter out) unwanted colors. They remove part of the light passing through them and do not add any at all.

The problem is I dont know a lot about electronics programming or what ever it takes to do all that. I was thinking i would set up the Plexiglas glass plates with 2 different color LED's. But i need the right kind of sensor that when it senses the cup it is one color, but when it dose not it is another.
I have thought to use infrared emitters and receivers. but they only allow current when there is no cup there. is there any way to send current to a different set of LED's when the Reciever is not receiving anything.
Basically i need a sensor that has three prongs with the ground in the middle and the other two prongs would go to each set of lights.
